The Women’s March and our embroidery action

We, a group of creative anti-war Russian-speaking women, went to the rally together with Argentineans for equality and the preservation of the right to abortion. We also brought our own agenda.

After the march, we organized a performative act inspired by the work of artist Maria Motyleva, who helps immigrant women in Europe. Peaceful and creative work: embroidering on a common cloth, including embroidering the names of politically imprisoned women and all other topics of concern to us, Russian-speaking women. Times are not simple, we want to unite and give hope to each other, including through talking about a possible better world in which we want to live.
